Speakers/Bio:
JK Costello, MD, MPH, develops population health strategy and evaluation plans for substance use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery. Inspired by the ongoing explosion of addiction and overdose, he works across medicine, public health, and community organizations to create a community of recovery in publicly-funded treatment systems. JK recently completed a statewide assessment of substance use treatment and recovery capacity and worked statewide on assessing the entire continuum of SUD care. In addition, he is a person in long-term recovery, emphasizing the inclusion of people with substance use disorder in all we do.
Cari Ladd, LCSW, has over 15 years of experience in direct behavioral health practice and program development/implementation in Community Mental Health Centers in New York and Colorado. She developed and led Colorado’s first on-demand, telehealth-based urgent care mental health program, which more than tripled program utilization between years 1 and 2. Cari is a behavioral health clinical expert with extensive experience in the Medicaid system.
